Apamea up to Saladins castle and back to Aleppo was the planned route for the day. En-route we passed through a small village and outside of the one shop was a bunch of small boys playing table football. We screeched to a halt and immediately had a challenge down on the table. The game attracted a huge crowd, most of whom seemed to have at least one hand on one of the opposing team. We triumphed 6-2 and were duly invited to tea by one of the kids mums. The pine covered mountains held many familar birds such as Wrens, Great Tits, Chaffinches and Jays (albeit of the middle eastern race). Buzzards and Kites continued to pass over, with Booted Eagle added to the list. 200 White Storks passed over northwards and Sardinian Warblers rattled in the scrub.
